TIPS AND SOLUTIONS

New skin care routine for summer

Each climate change has an effect on skin so it’s important to protect it from temperature variances that may cause it to lose moisture and age prematurely. Enjoy glorious, radiant skin all year long by simply adapting your skin care regimen to each season!

Warm Weather Woes:

Warm weather has its own set of skin challenges; heat and wind also tend to dehydrate skin.

If you have normal to dry skin, a lighter version of a moisturizing cream or lotion is best to help keep skin soft, supple and moisturized. To get rid the dead skin cells that dull your complexion, slough them off with a gentle exfoliation once a week.

If you have combination or oily skin, a gel moisturizer with a light and fresh texture is your best choice. Try a matte formula that helps reduce unwanted shine. Apply a purifying facial mask (such as a clay mask) once a week to keep oil (sebum) production under control, then proceed with a deep-cleansing treatment.

Warm weather also means heavier perspiration and increased production of sebum which translates into all kinds of impurities sticking to your skin. So it’s important to clean your face with the right products, such as a gel cleanser (for oily skin) or a foam cleanser (for dry skin). Remove all traces of oil and dirt with a toner. In the case of oily skin, an astringent is best while dry skin will benefit from a refreshing alcohol-free toner.

All Season Essentials:

No matter what the season, the sun’s ultraviolet rays have a harmful effect on all skin types. Protect your skin from the sun’s harsh rays with skincare products that have a minimum protection factor of FPS 15.
