Dominick Gauthier, Gala Victoris Desjardins International Coach of the Year
Honouring excellence! Dominick Gauthier was awarded the prestigious title of Coach of the Year on the international arena during the 41st Gala Victoris Desjardins. The former moguls skier, who won the Julius award for Athletic Excellence in the mid-nineties, can now state with certainty that his professional career has been paved with success. “This is his first coaching award!” said his mother, Carole Gauthier, who accepted the award on her son’s behalf. Dominick Gauthier conveyed his deeply-felt appreciation through an email sent directly from Suomu (Finland) where coach Gauthier and his two protégés, Jennifer Heil and Alexandre Bilodeau, were getting ready for their first competition of the Freestyle World Cup Season. Congratulations Dominick!
