Who doesn’t love a road trip? With my sister Amie and brother-in-law Steve visiting from Edmonton we decided to head to Boston for the weekend. After a couple of minor glitches, such as the navigator falling asleep without telling anyone in the car that we needed to switch highways, we did arrive in Boston in time for dinner. The “alternate” route added ninety minutes to our travel time and I think the navigator deeply regretted his mistake as my sister and I stretched our karaoke session all of the way to the city limits. We arrived in Cambridge and happened to stumble on what is known as the best Indian food in the area and for good reason! After all of that amazing food we had to walk it off around Cambridge and the beautiful Harvard Campus.
The next day we followed the Freedom Trail around Boston marking the history of the City and the American Revolution. The Freedom Trail took us into the North end and to the restaurant, Carmen, next to the site of Paul Revere’s house. We hit two for two with this restaurant making it well worth the wait until 10pm to get a table. We had a fantastic weekend discovering this beautiful city.
Cheers,
Jenn
