1933
Dr. Phil Blazer, a Chicago allergist, launches the first Marcelle products to meet the needs of patients suffering from cosmetic allergies.
1949
Victor Cape, Montréal druggist and beauty product wholesaler, becomes the exclusive distributor of Marcelle Cosmetics in Canada.
1961
Michael Cape, son of the founder, establishes Professional Pharmaceutical Corporation, which solely produces Marcelle Cosmetics in Québec and distributes the line across Canada.
1994
David Cape, grandson of the founder, joins the company and modernizes its infrastructure.
1997
The company expands its research and development, reinforcing its leadership position in Canada’s hypo-allergenic cosmetics market.
1999
Professional Pharmaceutical Corp. acquires Annabelle Cosmetics, a major Canadian cosmetic brand, to further meet the ever-changing needs of today’s women.
2005
Professional Pharmaceutical Corp. becomes Groupe Marcelle Inc., consolidating its position as a major player in the Canadian cosmetic market.
And now…
Marcelle and Annabelle are among the most recognized brands in the country. Manufactured and designed in Québec, Groupe Marcelle’s skin care and make-up products now total over 500.
